Humboldt Penguins

These species of penguin originate from South America and each individual has a unique spot pattern on their chests.

I spent a few hours at Chester Zoo today, along with many small children......? It's that time of year when the school trips are in full swing. Luckily the zoo is so big that I managed to stay out of their way for most of the time. This will probably be my last visit to the zoo until September. It's much easier to take photos when it's quieter.

The extra is a Blue Morpho Butterfly, and was taken with my mobile phone. I'm quite surprised by the quality and sharpness of the shot. It just shows how technology has moved on.
