Single earring for Tiny Tuesday

Last year I had to have the lobe of my left ear removed for a 'nasty' was growing behind it.  On leaving the outpatients I stepped into the nearest jewellers and jokingly asked if they had any earrings that had lost its partner.  A tray of about 15 was brought out - every one a £.  This silver and opal chose me by winking and a new back stud in silver was provided too.  How lucky can one get?
