Always read the book......... first

My wife's second grandson had the celebration of his first birthday today. His Grandad was asked to assemble a see-saw which was a present from one of the aunties. I really enjoyed the performance. Whenever people come to me and ask me how their newfangled camera works, I usually begin by asking them how many times they have read the instruction book. Here is another guy who didn't read the book first and made a lot of work for himself before caving in and consulting it for advice.
