Arrivo Riva del Garde

After breakfast we decided to buy a Lake day ticket, which enabled us to "hop on and off" any ferry we liked.

Took the servicio rapido up to the far north of the lake, to Riva, via Gardone, Malcesine, Limone.....a nice leisurely two hours sail. We didnt get off until Riva, where we had a couple of hours wandering, having lunch, saw a bride and groom having their wedding photos taken...luckily just before it started to rain a little.......a nice breeze and a few degrees cooler :-)

The northern part of the lake is much more mountainous as you can see from todays blip.It reminded us a little of Norway.

We took a slower ferry back to Limone spent a nice half and a hour meandering....very heavy and humid, we could tell the weather was changing a little. Pity I didnt know that fellow blipper Blimbo had arrived in Limone :-(

We treated ourselves to a gelato and sat waiting for the last fast boat to take up back to Garda.

Its been really heavy and sticky tonight, we couldnt face a hot meal so shared avocado, crab and salad for dinner.

Thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow.....think it will clear the air hopefully!!
