We stopped off at Krishna Sweets to buy some kalakand to take to MT. The man behind the counter used Avery scales to weigh out our order. When I asked why he hadn't gone digital like everyone else, he said his father insisted the antique scales continue to be used. Avery scales I discovered are headquartered in Birmingham. With the English in India for many years until 1947, a lot still remains as a reminder of the past.
