A fuzzy day in Shanghai
As I couldn't sleep in the plane, I was really tired when walking around some small streets in Shanghai. We had to spend several hours before we could take an Air Asia's bus to Hangzhou airport (about 3 hours away from Shanghai).
Everything was so messy and dirty, not shocking but surprising. This was my first time in China, if I don't count my trip to Taiwan just a few moths ago. China or a major city in China is just not comparable to one in Taiwan or Japan. I got an impression that China it is very much like Russia in many ways, and for that there is an obvious reason.
Although we didn't walk in many areas in Shanghai, the contrast of city areas was very clear. There were really poor people around us where we walked selling for example dog furs (disgusting) and further away you could see huge skyscrapers. We would get back here anyway after Singapore, so then we have some more time to visit other places as well.
