Youngsters

A lot of the varieties of birds appear to have been very successfully in raising their young which is always good news. The garden is currently full of young blue tits, great tits, sparrows, goldfinches, chaffinches and collared doves. The magpies who had a nest at the bottom of the garden in a very tall tree have also fledged. The sparrows and the great tits have obviously been brought up properly and share nicely with all the other youngsters. The goldfinches however squabble and fight endlessly with each other and with everyone else, particularly the shy and retiring siskins.

A busy day of chores which needed to be done before we head off the Scotland at the week-end for a week. I managed to complete all the housework, do all the washing and ironing, assemble (put the legs on) the two new sofas which were delivered today and cut the grass.
