Father's Day

Wow! Another scorcher. 32 degrees this afternoon. Feet were burning on the patio.

We met up with G&G and uncle B this morning for breakfast after James opened his card and presents from the kiddies. Phoebe had made him 3 cards and a 'happy Father's Day' banner which we had sellotaped to the wardrobe in our room.

A big fry up was just the job for the daddies. The children went to play in the kids area and we all had a good natter. We then came home and spent a lazy few hours in the sunshine. The children loved the paddling pool and me and James enjoyed a bit of sunbathing inbeteeen the drinks runs and the occasional water fights!

We took P to her swimming lesson later on and then ended up in McDonald's for teatime. What a place to end Father's Day in, but we all enjoyed it and no one had to do any cooking or cleaning all day!

Happy Father's Day to all the daddy's.
To my daddy who I sadly haven't seen today as he's working.
My daddy in law who has more than once helped us out of a tricky situation.
And to James. The daddy of my children. The best daddy they could wish for.
