Pretty Peschiera

Neither of us slept great...but ok, so we decided on a day out and about today.

As you know we are not early birds, so after breakfast we took the ferry to the southerly end of the lake to visit Peschiera, again via Bardolino and Lasize, where lots of people hopped on and off the ferry, including lots of locals as its the weekend.

Its not been so humid, the heat haze and heaviness has evaporated over night, leaving us with clear blue skies and views straight across the lake to the opposite villages, much more like we remembered two years ago. Its still hot, around 29 degrees, much like home by the sounds of it ;-)

Todays blip was tsken whilst we sat sharing a pizza rusticana and a green salad for lunch, with a glass of coke and copious amounts of water of course......no alcohol, way too hot for that :-)

Peschiera is a larger town than most others around the lake and busier in a different way, with day to day life, rather than tourists alone.

We treated ourselves to a gelato, lemon cone for me, two scoops, blackberry and lemon for hub......so nice, I much prefer it to icecream, not a fan of creamy rich icecream personally.

By the end of our walking, hubs painful foot has turned into two painful feet.......just what he needed :-( Definitely a day lounging and resting them tomorrow.......mind you its about time we had a day by the pool, my feet are aching too!!!

This evening we had a lovely meal sat right on the front line of the lake, very busy with boats coming in and out, with the locals enjoying their weekend too.

Another nightcap and so to bed...its just after 11, so hopeful of a good nights sleep tonight :-)
