Sabines Gull

Another full day at Jökulsárlón, this time with light! It makes a huge difference to have some sunshine as well as cloud. As one of the rarest birds we saw during our trip this Sabines Gull had to be the blip star of the day. It caused quite a frisson of excitement for the keen birdwatchers.

The extra is a male Snow Bunting singing, they're charismatic little birds and great fun to photograph.
