Wound up in Wexford

All change

We went to a recorder concert this evening, by the Eastern Recorder Orchestra.  There are many sizes of recorder, and most players enjoy playing more than one size - and so want to play different sizes in different pieces.  Thus at the end of each piece, almost the entire orchestra changed places, as each person moved to a different seat for the next piece, with a different sized instrument.  Considering the complexity, it was all achieved remarkably smoothly.  Only one music stand tumbled, no recorders stood upon.  Thanks to TonyG for telling me about this concert, and reminding us again just last week.  We thoroughly enjoyed it.

This morning, I wanted a lie in, having worked till midnight last night.  But I woke at about 7.15!  Never mind, I did have a very slow start to the day.  We then toddled off to visit some of the local gardens, open this weekend to raise funds for "The Nook" - a children's hospice due to be built locally.  A variety of different styles of garden.  In extras, a little train which was chugging around one of the gardens.

We then relaxed at home for a while and cooled down, before going off to Norwich for an early dinner at Zaks on Mousehold Heath, prior to the concert.

We're now back home, and I was thinking about an early night, until we drove up and found that our neighbours' son is having a "hot tub" party with loud singing and music.  I know they will stop at midnight.
