My 3 Children

Although all 3 of my kids live within 20 minutes of me...rarely do we get a chance to see them all together. Plus...all dressed up.

Jeffrey (the one in the tux) was in his buddy Jason's wedding. What do you think about the camouflage vest and tie? Jason is a real hunter and fisherman. We've been to quite a few weddings where the camo is used. I think it looks pretty sharp...although it makes me want to put a little pinch between my cheek and gums...and spit. Might as well add the hats, too.

The 2 girls cleaned up pretty good for the wedding, too. Karen (in the middle) is Merrick's momma. Julie (our oldest) is waiting for her ring from her boyfriend Benton. Maybe another wedding in our future.

Somebody had to leave early to get Merrick to bed. "I'LL DO IT! I'LL DO IT! I'm not a big fan of weddings. The church part isn't usually too bad...but the receptions are something else.

The whole garter thing...the flower toss...the toasting...always being the last table to eat...the cake cutting...PLEASE...SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!

If I never hear the song Celebrate Good Times...C'mon... I'd be a happy man.

Rant over. Best of luck to the new couple. I don't know how he does it...but Jason can somehow smell when Lisa is baking chocolate chip cookies. Uncanny.

I put a picture of the wedding party on Flickr. The bride is the one in white, and Jason is on the far right. My son Jeff is next to the bride.

My advice for the new couple? Always the same. Give...give...give...(75%)...then take a little (25%). If they both practice that...the giving always wins.
