Walking home after school

Young L spent the day with us. A bit of a lurgi. I did take him to see the GP, who agreed that on top of background allergy, he has an intercurrent viral infection. By causing sore throat and swollen lymph nodes this is the cause of his general malaise and odd pains. Lying around in Granny and Grandpa's apartment was the best treatment.

After he left this afternoon, I went for a walk along Ponsonby Road, where I was taken by the FHE Galleries. An interesting modern building (which will have replaced an old Edwardian villa), with a travel agency in one corner.

As I framed the photo, a young lad from a local school came past as he walked home carrying a large sports bag.
