If you're my friend on facebook you will already have seen this photo of me and Sheena, the queen of the woods herself, with our Nancy Ovens Play Award.

We had a great day with our wee group of children and parents who came along to support us and loved playing in the fab surroundings of Drumpellier Country Park. It was a real honour to receive this award from Tam Bailey, who I think has one of the most important jobs in the country - Scotland's Commissioner for Children & Young People. I felt so proud that the work and vision of our staff team in promoting article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child - The right to play - was honoured in such a way.

After we dropped everyone back in Barrhead we celebrated with a wee glass then Carlos and I continued the celebrations with a nice meal out followed by quiet night in with prosecco and a movie. Getting up early took its toll though and I fell asleep at the end of the film. Also need to get up early tomorrow to do a spot of baking before our guild event in Inverkip so better get to bed. Thankfully it's a short week and I can get 4 long lies next weekend if I want since I won't get any this weekend.
