Country Cousins

The view from the flat we're spending the night in, in Lisbon, before taking my sister and husband to the airport in the morning - you can see a section of the Vasco de Gama bridge in the distance. Such a contrast to our usual view, feels like a cultural shock - people even speak faster here.

This morning went to the Catholic church for their Corpus Christi celebrations - about 400 there, and several children doing their First Communion - surrounded by their extended families and neighbours, quite moving, but I didn't feel comfortable taking photos - see Dave's blip for one of the priest in action.
