Mixed emotions

Anna's last junior school sports day. A gloriously sunny day and we had a lovely time watching the sports and picnicking with all her classmates and parents. Sort of a bit sad that her little gang who have been together since nursery will no longer be together next year. But really the overwhelming emotion of the whole thing was just lovely.

And slightly distracting from the devastation happening just down the road. I really have no words. One of my lovely friends runs a charity centre in a neighbouring road and I haven't been able to stop thinking about her all day.

So much to be grateful for.
