Ger Orf Moi Larnd................
I suspect this over confident beast of stalking birds.
The other day he slowly sauntered away from my garden licking his lips and completely ignoring the mother blackbird who was hopping along less than 2 feet behind him going absolutely mental and he is frequently trying to get into the house.
I had the 20mm lens on the camera today so wasn't expecting to get any useful/likable/worthwhile shots but ended up taking loads and a few I really quite like (after beating them to death with Photoshop).
They started with the burn, moved on to moody cow parsley and pink edged grass before ending up with thistles.
I then sat and processed them whilst SWMBO was at the school with Squirrel finding out who has the unfortunate task of teaching her after the summer. There was also a talk by the headmistress and lunch with the kids. There should have been a look round the class and seeing what sort of things they will do as 'newcomers' -- but as per normal, the school couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery so the introductory talk by the headmistress started over half an hour late, the P.A. system and the powerpoint presentation couldn't be operated by said idiot woman (again/still), stupid questions were asked by parents who had not listened to what they were told and generally they ran out of time so there was no classroom visit.
Bags was less than impressed because she had got an hour off work to find out who the teacher was going to be and to meet her .... and had to leave before even that most basic of reasons for being invited could be done. When she got home she read the 'introductory pack' and had to send an e-mail because of completely contradictory information regarding things like peanut butter and grated apple being good lunchtime sandwich despite peanuts being banned in school due to severe allergy reactions from a couple of kids and access to the 'breakfast club' and the school bus for newcomers.
I think I am going to have to write to the Education Department!
The afternoon walk with PD whilst Squirrel was at gymnastics was an uncomfortable affair due to the weather. It was raining a bit when we started but it stopped quite quickly and got very hot and sticky.
It didn't stop PD from finding yet another football (which he dumped again very quickly) or from me taking more dog rose, dreamy cow parsley and cornflower pictures.
I also took pictures of a gate and the Japanese Knotweed growing next to it to send off to the Council so they can find it and get rid of it before it can become established.
