Keeping Warm

Enjoying a great weekend with our youngest son and his girlfriend who are visiting us for a couple of days.

The boys were up early this morning for a round of golf and were joined for the last 5 holes by the girls who were out for a walk. The golf form was patchy but we still managed to share a few laughs and a few lost balls!

This afternoon we headed down to Machrihannish where we had lunch at The Old Clubhouse before heading to the 3 mile long beach for a walk to help burn off what we had just eaten! It stayed overcast all day although little shafts of sunlight appeared from time to time.

A group of young surfers and their instructors, who had travelled down from Glasgow for the day, were making the most of the good surf and having a great time. As I got a few blips of some of them in the water a couple of girls ran in front of me and added some action to the shot. When they ran back a few minutes later I realised they had just come out of the water and were running to try and get warm!

Off to start cooking dinner for our family guests. Pigeon followed by venison steaks. Now that's the game!
