Diary of an Edinburgher

Lunch deal

Half an hour on the bike this morning was all I could manage, albeit at Level 15, and better than nothing. I do like watching 'Homes Under the Hammer' - it fits perfectly with my 'fitness regime' and takes my mind off the pain. I think the best plan is not to debate whether to go or not, but just go, even if I don't manage too much.

We took Archie over the Links for a run around, heading for a cafe we haven't been to for a long time, but because of the dark clouds gathering overhead, we changed our minds and went to the closer Montpelier's instead, lured in by the 'Two meals for £10‘ deal (which is now £12.50). The staff are very nice to him there.

Here Archie is admiring our beautiful peonies, which are just at their best. These ones are real, but we do have some unreal ones which are in the bay window.

I'm still enjoying the 24 hour election fallout news!
