Queen and Son
My daughter's topic this term is Egypt so we've been to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to see their Pharaoh, King of Egypt exhibition. The artefacts are on loan from The British Museum. She's found the answers to her homework, completed an activity booklet, done some colouring and we've written our name in hieroglyphics. A lovely day just the two of us, and also fitted in a trip to the Build a Bear shop on the way back to the train station.
This is a limestone relief of a Ptolemaic Queen and her son, 180-145BC, it may be of Queen Cleopatra I and her son, Ptolemy VI.
PS Forgot to say earlier, Elvis is alive and well and walking through Birmingham today, all 10 of him!
