Swan Lake...

Well, not really.  It's the pond at Fairmead Bottom, where I walked this morning with Zeus09smum and Zeus.  It is not often that the swans deign to visit this particular pond but today there was a pair.  I did take a fair number of photos some with really rather nice reflections, but the water was very muddy looking today and about half of the pond is covered in the strange seaweed like stuff that has appeared in Summer for a couple of years now.  Neither enhanced the look of the photos!  I've added a reflection shot, showing the pond weed as an extra.  There's also a shot of Mr MC's beer glass with the house opposite reflected in it: no particular reason, other than quite liking the image.

On the whole, it has been a day for quiet reflection.
It was with great sadness that we heard this morning that Violet's other grandma had passed away, after a short illness, last night.
