Piffled about at the flat for a while before setting off back round the M25 and up the A12 to Tiptree. I feel a bit better about the flat at the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to get there a little more often now that Mum is safer at home with the shower and with her new roller walker/shopping trolley. My plan is to work through one room at a time clearing and cleaning, and to remind myself that even doing a small amount is better than nothing.
After lunch, Mum and I ventured out to Perrywood garden centre for a look around and a coffee. It's our favourite, because the staff are always changing the displays so that it looks eye-catching and interesting. Their theme this summer is "Bring a Little Holiday to Your Home and Garden!". In the gift shop, as you enter the store, they are showcasing Mexico with a hammock, cactus, vibrant colours and a holiday bar depicted in the scene. Always great fun to see what creations they come up with. The amazing home-made cakes in the cafe might have something to do with it too...
