On da Vaila Mae
A rainy and misty start to the day, and continued well into the afternoon. It dried up by 3pm and the mist started to lift. This evening has been lovely and calm, with some great warm spells of sunshine.
I was in the museum office for the morning, but each time I was down in the museum, it was mobbed with the wet day. The afternoon was on the desk, with some setups and a busy afternoon too. I ran mam to see the doctor too, she's feeling much better. I picked up niece Elise from her home and had her over for tea, then we went to pick up niece Eve and her pal and ran them out west. Mam was over tonight for a cuppa. Quiet night now.
As I was heading out for a walk at lunchtime (in the rain), I spied Jack (Duncan) and Robbie (Tait) mucking about in the dock. Not sure what they were up to, but busy working with the Vaila Mae sixareen. They built the boat themselves in the museum boat shed almost 8 years ago. The poor old Nil Desperandum is looking bad. Taken in Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
