Had a really fun day today exploring the West coast. Sadly one of the main tourist attractions in Gozo - The Azure window, an archway into the sea, collapsed at the beginning of March in a storm so we didn't get to see that. But the scenery was still stunning. We went to the inland sea and took a boat trip through the tiny tunnels out into the bay and explored some other sea caves.
We then followed the coastal road stopping to explore the Salt pans (indentations in the rock on the cliffs which are filled with sea water which is then left to evaporate so that the salt can be collected). Toby and Eva really enjoyed seeing those. We ended the day at a nice sandy beach for a swim and a sunbathe and lots of reading.
Pizza for tea by the pool this evening. Extra pics of Dwerja Bay, The salt pans and the sea caves.
