Karting Capers

Alf wanted to take some friends karting as a birthday party treat thing, so off they went.

We went to Rye House (we've been before, it is where Lewis Hamilton used to race) as Alfie really likes it, the circuit is pretty long and fast and the karts are great, we took Stan and Joe who you may remember from the olden days. It is a bit of a trek down there, still the music was entertaining with the boys selecting tracks..

Anyway Alf really wanted Kart 13 as it is lucky number but alas another driver got it, this was crunch time as he does get rather upset about stuff like this, however he took car 9 and drove like a champion to overtake kart 13 (which went out first, he was last, of 15) by the end of the second lap. Go Alf.

He then had some great racing with Stan and Joe, with lots of excitement including Joe having a minor off but Poppy being convinced he must be dead, even though he was waving his arms to the Marshalls to put him back on the track!

I nearly blipped this one as I thought it was better, but then decided it was more about the spirit of the evening.
