Today's the day ......................... for shabby chic

Will took me out for coffee today to a new place that's opened up in Kendal.

It's a bit different from the usual sort of café that you find here - a breath of fresh air.  The building that it's in was a bank in former times.  They've kept bits and pieces to remind you of that like the attractive metal grill on some of the windows round the door.  The tables are all made from up-cycled floorboards - and there are benches that look like they started life as church pews.  It's all very laid-back and casual.

The food's great - and they make a good cup of coffee too ......................
