First things first.  Can I just put on record here how touched - in fact overwhelmed - I am by all your really lovely comments, not to mention hearts and stars on my 1460 blip yesterday.  You are hugely generous and wonderfully kind, all of you.  I intend to try and thank as many of you as I can individually but I'm not sure my tracking system is faultless, so want also to reiterate it here.  Thank you!

So.  Rosie.  Rosie is someone I've known for a long time.  We both sing soprano in the same choir.  She used to be a drama teacher and has presence, so I asked her recently if she would be a portrait victim for me.  I really owe her for saying yes.  Here she is at her place.  I wanted to put her in her own living room for the shots, having had this idea for an occasional series of portraits, specifically of people in their own space, ie context (if that makes any sense).  She is the first one.
