Everything's bigger in....Bournemouth

I'm at a conference in Bournemouth for three days (about biological anthropology and osteoarchaeology). As I arrived in good time I treated myself to lunch on the seafront and happened upon this massive deckchair. I have no idea why it's there or who sits in it.

The conference has been really interesting so far and hopefully the rest of it will be too. One of the speakers today was presenting some work she's been doing in Orkney. I was chatting to her during the coffee break and mentioned that I was the proud owner of a Ness of Brodgar hat. "Ah, a nob hat!", she said. :)
