Gab the Splash
Nice weather this afternoon and the last chance for her to 'have a go' at a Jackson Pollock-type drip painting, as she's off to university tomorrow and won't return until the depths of winter.
Some of Pollock's paintings were huge - his well known 'Blue Poles' was something like 6x16 feet and were painted with aluminium paint, enamel and glass! We made do with old cans of Crown and Dulux gloss paint.
I suggested she wear old clothes and she hastily took off her shoes. When she'd finished, the underneath of her socks were multi-coloured. When she took them off, the soles of her feet were also multi-coloured. Much white spirit and a bath later, they were back to normal.
Busy evening, helping her pack, helping her budget and wondering how we'll fit the lot in the car.
