An Unexpected Encounter

.... with this male chamois.

Our visitors and I didn't set off for a walk till almost 4pm as the weather has been awful today. The rain had stopped, so, being British, we went up the Famelon in the fog and were treated to a clearing over Lake Geneva from the summit (see extra). On the way down, we could see several female chamois and their youngsters on a ridge in the fog again. I was trying to photograph them when this male walked past me!
