Dressing

I always think there's nothing as simple as barbecuing and every time I do it, it's slightly more stressful than I thought it was going to be. It's the variable temperature, the positioning of the food on the grill, and the behaviour of rogue sausages that suddenly spurt fat all over the coals, causing everything to become unintentionally flame grilled.

Which is not to say I don't enjoy it. This evening it was warm and nearly sunny, so I lit the coals and then walked 'round to Booths with Dan to get something to cook, along with a salad. It was only when we arrived back home that I realised I had no dressing. Every resourceful - i.e. a brief cry of angst followed by resorting to Google - I made a dressing from some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
