Symbolic

Up early for an appointment.  The morning was sunny and cheerful, in constrast to the news which I listened to as I drove.  Returning home I re-potted my butternut squash and aubergines and then did some gardening.  I accidently knocked these two flower heads off as I was cutting the grass.  Perhaps they are symbolic of the sad news today.
