I Saw a Swift

My allotment has two entrances, one at the front and another at the back. This is the very overgrown path leading to the back gate - as you can see I have not used it this year and with all the warm weather and rain, the vegetation has shot up.

I had a lovely few hours at my allotment after work, planting out my French beans. Sadly the strimmer broke again so I wasn't able to cut the grass. As I walked back to the car and looked to the sky I saw a swift swooping high in the sky. It is the first I have seen this year and even more of a treat than usual as the numbers of swifts arriving in the UK so far this year has been very low.
