Take-off Permission Granted
I finally felt that the new arrivals were settled enough for me to leave them for a while and escaped for a much needed stroll over the fields. It was so nice to get out in the fresh air after nearly four days inside and see all the insects in the barley field. I was fascinated to watch a damselfly hide in the crops until a small bug flew up and then it shot up into the air and caught it......it did this several times and I tried to get a shot of it but it was way too quick for me ( I must be losing my touch :-)) )
Even though I'm still really interested in the bug life, these days I'm finding that I'm less inclined to get close enough to a small bug to count the hairs on his chinny chin chin to make it virtually the only thing in the picture, and more inclined to just make it part of a larger image and really consider other aspects such as composition and DOF when setting up the shot :-)
I have included some extras of DustBuster Bear in action and in his now favourite spot, stopping hubby working ( rubbish photo quality as they were taken indoors with my phone ) .......and one of Boo who has now come out of hiding to try and eat us out of house and home ( making up for lost time, I think )
We have to take them to the vet tomorrow to get them microchipped and Boo vaccinated.........he hates going into the carrier which is why he hasn't had his vaccinations yet.......I'm just hoping we will be able to get him in without too much trouble......wish me luck ;-)))
