what we did today...

Edinburgh Marathon Supporters

The boys and I headed down to Musselburgh to support a friend and fellow club runners who were running the Edinburgh Half Marathon and the full marathon. We did lots of cheering and encouraging - even more than usual now I know how important it is for runners. I did the Edinburgh half last year, and may do it again sometime.
We met up with a friend, Helen, who also did Stirling last week, and her daughters. For the half they all cheered on with us, then we headed to a play park for a break - while we watched the elite runners go past. Watching those Africans go past was amazing! Truely awesome to watch.
Then we met up with some other harriers to cheer the marathon - the boys and girls headed on to the beach and weren't seen til they needed feeding - when most of the marathon runners had past.
We had ice cream at Lucas before coming home via mtn warehouse to stock up for our summer hols.
A took boys to the nets while I planted out some of my seedlings in the garden.
A busy day - planning a rest tomorrow as boys at school and A is off for the bank holiday.
