Light relief.

Today marks the second anniversary of Claire's death. A difficult day for all who knew and loved her. Friends and family met this afternoon at her memorial bench to let off helium filled balloons. At launch time the heavens opened and heavy rain descended, the sudden change in barometric pressure meant the balloons just wouldn't fly. Cue much laughter at what could have been a very sombre event. Later, we went into Glasgow to celebrate a friend's birthday. Toasts were raised many times to Claire's memory, and the night finished at The Stand, a comedy club in Glasgow. Today was a timely occasion to remind everyone about the importance of organ donation. If it hadn't been for the generous gifts from two donor families on two separate occasions , our family wouldn't have enjoyed having Claire in our lives for those precious extra years.
