More beauty in the garden

I bright sunny morning but threatening rain in the afternoon

I am so glad that I only have to go out into our garden to find natural beauty. This Iris has just come out in the last couple of days. I love the colours, the contrast between the purple and yellow and the shape of the leaves.

I am glad that as a country we are going ahead with all the sporting events etc. despite the Critical security level. Being selfish, it means I can watch the Scottish Cup Final and the English Cup Final one after the other.

I have just read that British Airways computers have crashed worldwide and flights totally cancelled. It seems that the world has become dependent on computers and is now more vulnerable than ever. I am only thankful that the computer hack which paralysed much of the NHS didn't happen on Monday of this week rather than the previous week - it doesn't bear thinking about how they Manchester hospitals would have coped with the tragic aftermath of the bombing.

With all that in mind - I just want to balance it with the beauty of the flowers around us.
