Wonthaggi Suburb III
Calla Lily's growing wild in Wonthaggi urban bushland. The Wonthaggi Wetlands is a huge area of urban native bushland, interlaced with walking paths, a picturesque lake, and pretty much slap bang in the middle of town. There is even a mob of Kangaroos, and also snakes, wombats, and numerous species of birdlife.
I had an early morning walk through there this morning hunting blips - in particular I was looking at the interface of bushland and housing, and then I came across this particular scene and decided to go with it. I guess a lot of native plant fundamentalists would dissaprove of my "glorifying" an invasive species but I find these Lily's quite fascinating and beautiful.
I shot this photo using Hipstamatic, with the Lucifer VI lens and Float film. I also used a couple of monochrome films but I really like the "unnatural colour" aspect of the Float.
The iPhone 5 launched today. On first viewing there doesn't seem that much of an improvement re the camera except faster processing times. Gonna wait for the 5s I think.
