Clear night skies over Skiddaw

Really wet morning, so took nothing on the school run. Had an office day today writing articles for the Nikon Nation page on Ephotozine, and so by 5 o'clock tonight still hadn't taken a single picture! Did about an hour here and there but wasn't really happy with any of them, then finally at 11.45 looked out the front door to see a beautiful clear night with the milky way visible. Although none occurreed during this exposure, I even saw two shooting stars whilst out.
