Paddle time

A glorious day today - too nice for anything inside based.

A fab session with the physio first thing meant an early start, but then home and into the garden. Trees pruned, grass cut, last veg plot turned over, pergola rewired, the new rendering from the flood defence painted and the gates prepped for tomorrow. Very productive.

It was far too hot for a little old Husky - so a simple wander to the beck for a paddle - except Pushka just walked in and led down, bless her.

Driving to Derwentwater this evening it was still 26° at 18.00, unbelievably wonderful conditions for taking an open canoe out on the lake and finally signing off the last of my 2* skills. Now to book a formal paddling instructor course.
Sat on the dock at Nicholas End I made a new friend (in extras), no zoom involved, close enough to stroke (which I didn't as B is petrified of these guys).
