Rainbow spoons

Yesterday I was involved with my local beekeepers' association at Borders Schools Countryside Day. This a great event held annually to promote all things rural to all P5 schoolchildren in Borders region. Over 1500 children attend  and they are so enthusiastic about everything! Our beekeeping stand fascinates them, we have a demonstration hive with live honeybees which allows  most youngsters to recognise what a bee looks like.  All aspects of beekeeping are on show but the favourite is the honey tasting,leaving a right sticky mess of spoons  at the end of the day!
