Capitol Building

We spent the day in Colonial Williamsburg which is a living history museum where actors in period costume depict daily Colonial life in the streets, stores and workshops.....and it's enormous!

Williamsburg was the capital of the Virginia Colony from 1699 to 1780 and played a significant role in the American Revolution. It forms the “Historic Triangle” together with Jamestown and Yorktown, which we visited yesterday.

We also attended Choral Evensong at the Parish Church, oddly called Burton Parish Church after the village in Somerset. Matthew chimed the calling bell too!

7.8 miles walked

It was a good day out....off to the Blue Rodge Mountains tomorrow for the final leg of our trip.
