The Water

After a satisfactorily long lie-in, during which I finished reading the English Patient (a good 99p's worth on the Kindle, I thought) we went to Stockbridge for a shuffle through the market crowds and a shop for necessaries in Scotmid. Walked back along the Water of Leith as far as Beaverhall (it's been a long time since there have been any beavers around here, but we did see a couple of herons), where we investigated the new Lidl. Tesco should be feeling nervous.
