Rhododendrons and azaleas

Visited a beautifu private garden today that was opened through the National Garden Scheme to raise money for various charities.

The garden was enormous laid mainly with lawns and bounded by beautifully coloured ericaceous shrubs . There were many huge mature trees and places to sit to admire the uninterrupted views over the adjoining fields.

The sun shone and it was a was like a summer's day. Back home we relaxed on our own garden with coffee and cake. All in all a great day spent with good friends.
