Mayfest

Today was Winchester's Mayfest.  It seemed the biggest certainly that I've ever seen.  Morris and clog dancers making up 26 teams (or 'sides' as they call themselves) were performing multiple times at various pitches around the City centre.  It's only a one day event and everything - including attached workshops and concerts - were free.

This side were performing this morning outside the west door of the cathedral.  I'm quite cross with myself for not being better about names.  They were dressed in shades of green but I don't know their name.  In the 2 Extras I know the dark masks were Mythago, with dances based on the Celtic knot. It was raining by the times they performed.  The fella in the second Extra was with a purple side, but again I've scrambled the name.  No points there then.

The other high spot of the day was having strawberry pancakes cooked for me just now.  Yum!
