It's flower planting season in Michigan. Or...is it?

Every year, it's the same decision. Do we plant before Memorial Day (10 days off), or do we wait?

Some years...you wait. In other years...you plant. But, in the years you plant...on certain nights...when it gets real cold...you have to drag out the precious quilts that Mom made, and cover the new arrivals.

We took a ride North today...to celebrate 44 years of marriage. That's right...44 years ago today...May 19th, 1973...Lisa walked down the aisle with her Dad...where I was waiting to accept my new bride. We tied the knot, then drove to Florida to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Disney World.

Asking for her hand was the best decision of my life. Time truly does fly when you're having fun.
