Sound the Organ

This very old organ was being played very well by the chap you can just about see in this shot. The organ is one of two in Salamanca's new cathedral, and was built in 1568 - it has been restored with help from funds provided by the emporer of Japan, apparently. It sounds wonderful, not at all like modern instrument.

The extra is a stork on part of the roof of the catholic university (there are two universities in Salamanca, which means it feels a young city). There are nests everywher, the birds seem unbothered by the human activity around them.

We have had a tremendous day, there is loads to see. We have just touched the surface.
