Undercovercairo in Kandahar

Lovely night in Kandahar with Undercovercairo. May be our last meeting in Cairo while she lives here, but not goodbye! Where will we next meet?

Last day of my second CELTA here. We started with 12 trainees and finished with 12 and they all got through. It's been a good month, but a hard one in many ways as we had quite a few trainees with different needs, who we supported as much as we could: one with concentration problems who was also an insomniac; one who definitely shouldn't have been on the course because of her English level; one who had family problems in Alex and who returned there at the weekend; one who did a 10hr return journey to her home town every weekend and did a day's work there; someone with huge time management and organisational challenges; someone with 6 month old teething twins and a 3yr old, whose mother helped during the day, but she took over during the night; a perfectionist who hardly ate, but who smoked like a chimney and collapsed one day of exhaustion; and last but not least our trainee who was due to give birth on the last day of the course - she made it and is due to have a C-section tomorrow! All of this meant my colleague and I finished the course exhausted!
