Victorian railway station Strathpeffer
A hot sunny start to the day and once the beasts were fed and watered (sathered?) we set off towards Dingwall to a spot looking over the Cromarty Firth, a beautiful area. Onto Strathpeffer a pretty Victorian Spa town with this lovely old railway station sadly no longer in use by the railway but well used by visitors to the cafe.
There is a short walk from the station which led us indirectly to the Eagle Stone, a Pictish symbol stone dating back to the 7th C, and back into the village. Thank you Houseonahill6 for your early morning message suggesting this and more, excellent information. We then headed for Beauly to look for the camera shop just outside the town. What an amazing place!
