Fishing
It is actually called haaf netting, a type of fishing which apparently dates back to the time of the vikings, and it takes place around the Solway Firth area although the number of fishermen/women are declining. The idea is that you wait until the tide is coming in, you stand there with the net and hope to catch some fish, but not salmon as their numbers are declining as well. I chose this shot because you can see the shape of the net but I wished I had brought a lens with a longer focal length with me.
